چکیده

The study focuses on how the South Korean drama/mystery film Burning (2018) intertextually draws from William Faulkner’s short story ‘Barn burning’ and Haruki Murakami’s related sociohistorical contexts. does quite impressionistically freely draw these two stories as well adding new features, while simultaneously removing much of core work some counterpart. By means intertextual borrowing re-contextualization, it has used global discursive field consequently hybridized localized elements themes American-Western Japanese works discourses to perhaps make them better suited for context. included excluded various both but emphasized class gender issues. These major reflect upon structural inequalities in contemporary society.
